How AltinhaLife started
We have been friends since we were kids and have spent most of our lives doing things together. Whether it was playing football, fishing, or coming up with new ideas, we were always outside and always starting something new.
School was not always easy for us. Sitting still in a classroom was difficult when all we really wanted was to be outside with a ball. Rutger was already making football skill videos back then, constantly experimenting with new tricks and filming anything that involved a ball. Philip on the other hand was always fascinated by business and entrepreneurship. As a teenager he was already selling products online through platforms like Bol.com, learning how to build something from scratch.
Years later something unexpected happened
Rutger went to Barcelona for an internship. The internship itself did not last long, but something else did. On Bogatell Beach he discovered Altinha for the first time. A circle of people keeping a football in the air, playing together, laughing and connecting with complete strangers. No referees, no teams, no pressure. Just skill, creativity and community.
That moment changed everything.
When Rutger came back home he could not stop talking about the sport. The more we learned about Altinha, the more we realized how special it is. The game is simple, accessible and incredibly social. Anyone can join the circle. All you need is a ball and a few people.
That is when the idea for AltinhaLife was born.
Our dream is not just to create products. Our goal is to grow Altinha into a global sport and build a community that brings players together everywhere. Because the sport is so accessible, we believe anyone can experience the joy of playing in the circle.
AltinhaLife is built on friendship, creativity and community.
And this is only the beginning.
